Our Mission to Sail Green with Ripple Africa

100 Teak Trees Planted in Tanzania—and Growing

Every tree restores forests, fights climate change, and supports Tanzanian communities with jobs and education. We’re adding more trees with every subscription.

250,000 bundles of wood saved by Ripple Africa each week thanks to their fuel-efficient cookstoves.

Through our partnership with Ripple Africa we will be contributing to making a lasting impact by reducing wood demand through fuel-efficient cookstoves therefore protecting forests and improving life for families in Malawi. We help yacht owners offset their nautical miles with certified, impactful projects, ensuring every voyage contributes to a greener future.

0.39 Tons of CO2 Offset - Equivalent to a Short Yacht Trip, and Rising

Our teak trees in Tanzania sequester 0.39 tons of CO2, while Ripple Africa’s efforts in Malawi prevent emissions. Together, we’re offsetting more carbon with every sail.

Why Ripple Africa?

At Growing Decks, we've partnered with Ripple Africa to expand our mission of sailing green by protecting forests and empowering communities in Malawi through an accredited fuel-efficient cookstove carbon offsetting project. Their impactful initiatives, centered on sustainable cooking and conservation, reducing deforestation, protecting ecosystems, and improving lives - is what makes them the ideal partner to offset the carbon footprint of your yacht trips and jet fuel usage. Here's why Ripple Africa is key to a greener future:

WHY ASAS Dairies?

At Growing Decks, we’ve partnered with Asas Dairies, one of Tanzania’s most established and respected agribusinesses, to bring our teak tree planting initiative to life. Known for their leadership in agriculture and land management, Asas Dairies provides the ideal foundation to grow teak sustainably — restoring what’s used in yacht decking and ensuring long-term environmental resilience.Through this partnership, we’re not only offsetting teak usage by planting new trees — we’re also supporting Asas Dairies’ transition toward a more sustainable future. By integrating reforestation into their agricultural footprint, they’re reinforcing their commitment to environmental stewardship and climate-conscious growth.Together, we’re building a greener supply chain, creating local jobs, enhancing biodiversity, and helping protect East Africa’s natural resources — one teak tree at a time.

Saving Forests with Sustainable Cooking

The Changu Changu Moto cookstove project revolutionizes cooking in Malawi, where 97% of households rely on wood for fuel, driving deforestation. These fuel-efficient cookstoves reduce wood usage by two-thirds—saving two bundles of wood per week per stove. With 125,000 stoves built, Ripple Africa preserves forests and prevents carbon emissions, helping us offset your yacht voyages and jet fuel emissions.

Empowering Communities Through Education and Jobs

Ripple Africa empowers Malawian communities with education and employment. They run conservation programs teaching sustainable practices, support local schools, and create income generating opportunities through fish and fruit tree planting initiatives. Over 600,000 people benefit daily, gaining skills to build a sustainable future while preserving their natural environment—supporting the greener lifestyle of yacht and jet travel.

Fighting Climate Change and Protecting Ecosystems

Ripple Africa combats climate change on multiple fronts. Their fuel-efficient cookstoves reduce deforestation while their fish conservation project protects Lake Malawi's biodiversity and fruit tree planting ensures food security. Together, we offset the carbon footprint of your yacht trips and jet fuel usage, safeguarding ecosystems and making every journey a step toward a healthier planet.
